Put yourself on the path to success.
Welcome to Ivy Lane Academy! We offer the highest level of educational tutoring and supports for your child. Our amazing tutors are Ontario College of Teacher members who are currently teaching in public schools across Ontario. At Ivy Lane Academy, our teachers have extensive knowledge of the subjects they tutor, as this is their daily work. We match your child with a tutor who is currently teaching the same course. This means our tutors have unparalleled knowledge of the tests, exams, and assignments your child will be doing. Our goal is to help your child achieve the best understanding of the curriculum and ultimately the highest marks!
We know how challenging and stressful it can be as you and your child prepare for post secondary (University and College). As part of our supports, we offer a free guidance session to discuss and help plan for post secondary. I personally help you plan for high school courses, explore university pathways, and find valuable resources to help you through this exciting time.
My 32 years of experience as a teacher, guidance counsellor, University instructor and EQAO developer, has provided me with exceptional knowledge of learning strategies, Ministry curriculum, and techniques to encourage student learning. I encourage you to contact us and discuss your child's educational needs.
Sincerely,
Martin Himelson

Over the past 3 years, Covid has affected individual's social, emotional, and overall state of well-being. The way we work, learn, and play have all changed. Our schools are no exception, and the affects on youth's mental health and academics have been affected dramatically. Our schools are also chronically underfunded, resulting in larger class sizes, less support staff, and lack of resources. See our blog below for links and resources...
